AXENT is an operator of nationwide telecommunication transport infrastructures in the backbone, backhaul and access segments.
It provides dark fibre services and point-to-point circuits over its own lit fibre and radio link network.
Axent’s network currently exceeds 5,300 km of backbone fibre optics and 300 radio links over urban and rural telecommunications sites.
ROBUST SHAREHOLDER STRUCTURE
The shareholders of AXENT are Axión (51%) and Enagás Services Solutions (49%).
Axión is a wholesale operator of benchmark wireless telecommunications infrastructures in Spain and has integrated its transport business for telecommunications operators into AXENT, based on its radio link networks and its telecommunications tower infrastructure (more than 600 sites).
Enagás Services Solutions is a subsidiary of Enagás, an international leader in the development and management of gas networks with approximately 12,000 km of gas pipelines. The surplus fibre capability deployed along its pipelines has been transferred to AXENT.
